After showing you hundreds of pictures of my time in Manchester I now want to share bits of
my home with you. The pictures were taken only 8 days ago when I was catching the last warm spells of sunshine outside with my family and my little poodle, now it is all glistening in white snow. A 40 minute drive from home we decided to have lunch and enjoy the gorgeous view from the lunch terrace at
Leeberghof Hotel.
It is renown for good food and you should definitely make a reservation before popping in as it can be a bit busy when the weather is nice. The menu reaches from healthy starters ( 8-15 €) over traditional "Mehlspeisen" (dishes containing sweet baked pancake-y dough and optional custard, ice-cream and hot fruit salade) (13€) to locally sourced meat and fish dishes for around 25€. A separated part of the terrace is used as a bar where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly, wrapped up in cosy blankets. Unfortunately this time the food, as nice as it looked, was a bit disappointing compared to previous visits and service was super slow. Still it is probably one of the best addresses if you are looking for traditional bavarian food with a gorgeous view in this area.
