Hotel Recommendation Manchester

The decision was made within seconds when we got an amazing deal for a weekend in the Marriott Victoria & Albert hotel in Manchester. A getaway in a city I spend every other weekend anyway might seem unusual but with the perfect location near Spinningfields it was the perfect location for our weekend plans.

Only a stone´s throw away you can find all the the busy bars of Deansgate, a very recommendable fish & ship shop and luxurious shopping areas. 

From the outside the hotel couldn´t be any more Mancunian- red brick facade with small- prison-size windows but on the inside you are welcomed by warm contemporary wodden furniture and a turquoise green colour themes. 

I´ve always loved the super super comfy Marriott beds and the lovely breakfast when staying in the US hotels, and we weren´t disappointed in the UK either. For everyone on a budget check out the Marriott Rewards website for special offers

http://www.ingolstadtvillage.com/ is my place to go when I need a quick fix of outlet shopping in the Munich area. I just love the thought of getting reasonably priced designer wear and hunting for a bargain with my family.
Granted, the prices are better when shopping during the summer sale time but I think I´m never leaving this place without buying something. The best shops yesterday were Michael Kors and LÓccitane where I could get some nice travel accessories:

Stopping the clock

....might have been one of the various reasons these people decided to have extensive plastic surgery. Again the topic of plastic surgery is highly controversial and I´m not gonna take position for either side. Finding these pictures of Philip Toledano, highly moved me. He has an amazing sense of capturing the pure relevance of his subjects. ´

Perfect Weekend

All I need for a perfect weekend:
1. A BBQ on a sunny Friday night
2. Full English on Saturday morning
3. Spending the Saturday shopping, cooking and watching "The Hills"
4. Lazy Sunday having bavarian food and feeling poorly after going on the Frühlingsfest rides
5. Extending the weekend to Monday and enjoying pizza lunch at L'Osteria!

For those who are following me on twitter ( www.twitter.com/isabelMunich ) it´s nothing you: I´ve been to Italy this weekend. Finally my long awaited weekend in the sun, doing nothing but having great food, enjoying the weather and of course going shopping. Italy is known for it´s leather goods so a new tote bag and some studded sneakers made it on the way back home to Munich with me.
