Vogue Fashion´s Night Out in Manchester 2013

By 03:42 , , ,

One of the most anticipated nights of the year finally hit the street of Manchester:  Vogue Fashion´s Night Out! The event that combines designers, fashion editors, celebrities and high street shops, to create a night of discounts, raffles, cocktails, live music and giveaways. No other event I have been to managed to have such an amazing variety of in- store events and perfect organisation behind it. My day started off at the hair dresser to get a fair few inches off and spent the hours until the Manchester Arndale Press Brief sorting my outift. I was hoping to wear a dress but once again, Manchester lured me into wearing something more weather proof as you can see.
The Arndale was already buzzing with a catwalk show, music and cover photo shoots when I arrived. Beauty pods, form Boots and Dior were dotted about for your complementary mini make over on the night. After a reception at Yo!Sushi we got all the latest news on the giant red killer heel competition where you could win a pair of shoes every month for one year! It´s not too late, so get down and have your picture taken!

My next stop was Harvey Nichols to get hands on one of the VOGUE FNO tshirts, it´s just the perfect souvenir from a night like this. HN was just starting to get busy, they had Jamie Laing and Oliver Proudlock from Made in Chelsea over to sign the shirts, beauty make over stations and the chance to get your Clinique Chubby stick with diamond initials.

On the way to Debenhams, I walked past the boohoo bus where I got a tote bag and a rain poncho! Well prepared! I love practical gifts!
Now a quick note on my visit to Debenhams as an official Manchester Fashion Week blogger! I got to meet with the personal stylists team Cath, Cheryl and Olivia, who introduced me to their service were just so lovely to chat fashion with. I was surprised to hear that the personal stylist service is complimentary with no obligation to make a purchase. As they don´t receive any incentives or bonuses they have nothing in mind but you looking your best for any occasion! With the variety of brands and having everything from shoes to make up under one roof they can provide looks for style and age.
I felt so welcome with them and they were just a great laugh so I can just recommend popping it for some style advice!

After dropping off my goodie bags, which I will dedicate another post to this week, I was headed for H&M where could snap a picture with Pixie Geldof. She was doing a DJ set with one of her mates, definitely the right choice for a quirky swedish retailer! If you wanna see the infamous picture of me and Pixie check my facebook page!

A quick visit to Barbour, Hobbs and the King Street Eats Event the boyfriend and I decided to end the night at Selfridges with some Marc Jacobs Coke and Popcorn soaking in the vibe of the night, realising that we couldn´t manage to do half the shops we initially planned! This really needs to be a fashion weekend out- too many shops too little time!

Thank you Vogue, Manchester Fashion Week, Arndale PR, Boots and Debenhams for treating my so well this night and letting me be part of it! I´m proud of Manchester to be pulling off an event of that scale so perfectly! In contrast to London, the events were all in walking distance making it easy to get around without taxis. People were simply amazing and showed the variety in Manchester fashion scene!
Hopefully see you all next year!
